Cookout with friends

Yesterday afternoon, we had a cookout.  We'd had this planned for a little bit.  The girls were going to go see the movie Brave while the husbands played poker.  Plans got reworked b/c of the bad storm we got the night before.  Our friends, Crystal and Eddie are still without power and the worst part is that it's one of the hottest weekends so far reaching over 100 degrees.  BLECH!  :(

We got together anyways and had delicious food, wonderful conversations and just fun.  :)

Crystal made her AWESOME baked beans (no picture) and her YUMMY potato salad.  The baked beans is Campbell's pork and beans, cooked sausage, some ketchup, brown sugar and maple syrup.  Bake in the oven at 350 degrees.

For the potato salad, Crystal used potatoes from Miller Farms.  Crystal and her husband got a CSA earlier this year and these potatoes were from that.  They were good.  She got the skin off the potatoes, cut them up and boiled them on the stove.  She also boiled 4 brown eggs (with the potatoes).  Once the eggs were done she peeled off the shells and cut up the eggs.  Once the potatoes were drained she added the egg, Duke's mayo, sea salt, pepper, and dill weed.  I don't know what else she added.  I need to find out.  LOL

While the beans were baking in the oven the boys went out on the deck and cooked the meats.  We had burgers, hot dogs and chicken legs.

Sharon has been introducing Agnes to real foods.  She's already had carrots, green beans and squash.  She loves squash!!  :)  This week it's been applesauce.  She was not a fan at least not of this kind.  Kristen will have to make some of her baby boom applesauce for her when she gets older.  She will love that stuff.  :)

Look at her cute little teeth!  :)

Kristen was in charge of dessert.  She made "Not yo mama's banana pudding".  OMG........

So cute.....

And sooooo good.  I had 2 helpings.  :D  I am def going to make this.  I wished I had some right now but every last bite was devoured.  :)
