Today, is my nephew's 14th birthday. My sister, had his birthday at our friends (Val and Jimmy's) beach house at Colonial Beach, VA.
Here's a view from the backyard of the 'beach'. Off the Horizon is Maryland but technically if you're touching the water you are in Maryland. You could have one foot in the water and one food on the sand and be in VA and MD at the same time. :)
On the side of the shed, Val and Jimmy have a fish net hanging. All the stuff you see are things that Jimmy has collected from the beach that washed up on shore at their house. He's found car keys in the past. If a neighbor is missing something they come look on the net to see if Jimmy has found it. I think it's a pretty cool idea and it's not from Pinterest. LOL
Inside the beach house is this old papasan chair piece that they turned into a container. This is all sea glass they've found on the beach. This was pretty awesome.
Cute sign hung in the house with oars and netting. Very beachy! :)
My sister, got a half bushel of crabs for those who wanted to eat crab.
My nephew Adam, took on the challenge with a hammer. He ate a piece and said it was good but thought it was a lot of work for a little bit of crab meat and he gave up.
Here's the birthday cake.

Here's Joseph and his friend waiting for cake. :)
Joseph got some cold hard cash as presents. He also received a target and bdubs gift card, a origami dragon and some Home Improvement DVD box sets.
lol at him flashing signs at the end! haha
