First off.....Remembering Patriotic Day!! I can't believe it's been 8 years since the 9/11 attacks.

Next.....Kristen and I took another Road trip today!! We went to the Metro Richmond Zoo!! We had a great time!! It was a nice day for the zoo. Of course, a lot of school groups thought so too. Here are some pictures of some of the animals we saw.

We also grabbed lunch at the Zoo Cafe. Wasn't very good but it was cheap. I kinda lost my appetite once yellow jackets harassed us and one even walked upon my ketchup on my plate. Gross...being right next to the Camel pen I really didn't want to know what that yellow jacket had been walking around in. :)
After the zoo we went to the Chesterfield Berry farm! It was a cute farm. Reminded me of Belvedere Plantation a little bit but this place actually grows DOLE Pineapples. ;) I'm gonna have to have Kristen go back though. They sold the bunting that I've been looking for and I have to have it!! :)

Baltimore Day Trip
Kristen, Aunt Karen and myself all went on a little day trip to Baltimore, Maryland yesterday. It was perfect weather. We went to the National Aquarium. It was fun!!!! The last time I had been there was during my 8th grade field trip. Here are some pictures....

Here are some pictures I stole from K's blog!!!!!

We all had a great time. We loved the dolphin show. I think they did a better job than Shamu down at Seaworld b/c they actually cooperated. :)
After we were done touring the aquarium we walked around the harbor. Aunt Karen bought us lunch at Johnny Rockets. I think all 3 of us were frozen by the time we left b/c we felt like we were sitting in a freezer. After lunch we walked to the Gallery that had many expensive shops. We went into Ghirardelli and Coach. We were all good and didn't buy a thing! :) Once we got back to Aunt Karen's we hung out for a little bit chatting with Aunt Karen and Uncle Bill and then headed on back to FXBG.

Ohio......
This past labor day weekend was an eventful one. Nate's Aunt, Leah decided to get the family together this past Sunday. Nate, Gene and I left Saturday morning at 9am. We stopped off at WaWa and filled up the gas tank and our bellies. We got some breakfast sandwiches and hit the road. We got to Sugarcreek, Ohio around 4:30pm.

We were hungry and knew that Grandma Miller wasn't home yet from her party she attended earlier in the day.
So, we decided to go to Chalet in the Valley. I got the Guggisburger and Nate and Gene got the Great Lakes Walleye. Everything was wonderful good.

After we were finished eating we headed on over to Grandma Miller's. She was so cute. She had the TV blaring on CNN and was fast asleep in her chair. Nate and Gene sat down on the couch and watched her. Then she started coughing and they asked her if she needed water and she about peed herself. She was glad to see us. The rest of the night we watched the Virginia Tech game against Alabama. It was their kick off game of the season. Grandma knew more about
football than myself. LOL She mentioned "that guy must be the head ref since he's wearing a white cap" and I looked...sure enough the other refs had black caps on and then I thanked Grandma for teaching me something about football. It was fun. Sadly, the game ended with a score of 34 to 24 with the Hokies losing. During the football game we had ice cream that Grandma had gotten for us earlier in the day. Whew....it was too much. But that didn't stop Gene, and Grandma from going in the kitchen and getting seconds. ahahahaha :)
On Sunday, we went to Aunt Leah's and Uncle Stan's for the party around 1pm. It was so great to see everyone. We chatted and snacked on chips, veggies, Guggisburg cheese and Troyer's Trail Bologna. Todd, Nate's cousin showed up with his wife Carrie and their son Justin. Todd set up his cornhole stuff and we played. I had always heard about cornhole but have never played. It was fun but I suck at it. Nate did pretty good. Todd kicked our ass though.

Above is a picture of Todd, Aunt Leah and Todd's wife, Carrie.
Everyone chatted with each other just doing some catching up. Dinner was served at 6pm and there was lots and lots of goodies. After dinner Nate took some group shots of everyone. Then some played cornhole, some little ones napped and we did more chatting.
Grandma Miller and her great grand-daughter Maddie.
Nate called me and I looked up at him and he took this picture of me. LOL
We left Monday morning at 10:30am. We stopped off at Aunt Leah's to pick up some snacks for the road and of course then stopped in at Walnut creek cheese.
We got Guggisburg swiss cheese, Troyer's Trail Bolonga, Cheese curds (recommended by a co-worker and they are awesome!!!!), buttermilk cookies and chocolate
chip cookies. All delish!! :) By the way....the chocolate chip cookies and cheese curds are all gone!! :)
This picture of cheese curds! They are good!!! :)
It was a great weekend!! And we're glad we went. Now Nate just needs to e-mail photos out to everyone!! :)

A surprise for Nathan....
If you like Oreo cookies then you'll love this dessert.....

This is an OREO-Jello No bake pie. I picked up the mix at the grocery store today.
Nate is having a rough work day today reading thru resumes and such for a new tech he has to hire. So, this little pie will make him happy when he comes home from work today. I'm such a wonderful wife eh? :)
