Almost a month ago, Kristen and I made our own Vanilla. It takes 90 days for it to be ready. You have to keep it in a cool dark place. I keep mine in a brown bag in the basement bathroom. It's the perfect cool, dark place.
Anytime, I'm in the basement I shake up the bottle. It's turned a nice brown color and it smells just like Vanilla. :)
After the 90 days, Kristen and I will get together to strain the vanilla in a cheese cloth to get out the seeds and then we'll bottle the vanilla. :) I excited to try it. Can making your own vanilla really be this easy?
