I have been approved to have backyard chickens. Up to 5!!!!! I am so happy and excited. Let the chicken craziness take full effect. Wait it hasn't already? :)
My friend, Melissa is incubating eggs for me from her free range chickens. Here's their first picture. (Be prepared for the cuteness and you know there will be lots of pictures of my girls. Some people bomb you with baby pics....I'm going to bomb you with chicken pics. *evil laugh*)
Yesterday, my dad met me up at the tractor supply and I purchased my coop and pen. :)
I can't wait to get this set up. It's going to be so cute. The coop I got holds up to 6 chickens so it will be good for my 5 girls.
I got this coop and this expansion pen. I also got this to keep the food and whatever else I want in a sealed container.
They had some baby chicks when I was at Tractor Supply. How cute are they? I heard them peeping as soon as I walked in the store. haha
I also went ahead and got the chicken sloggers!!!! :) At target this morning, I got a boot tray so I could leave my garden clogs and chicken boots on it. It was on sale too!
Very nice....and now it protects the floor if the clogs/boots are wet from going outside.
So.....my dining room is a little messy but for good reason. I'm getting prepared for my girls arrival.
Now, I'm going to leave you with some more chicken humor. :)
