My friend Crystal, invited me to a Pampered Chef party last night. I have Pampered chef products but I've never actually been to a pampered chef party. So, I was excited to go!! Melissa decided to come too so the 3 of us went together.

After everyone introduced themselves, we got up and went into the kitchen and made dinner. It was cool b/c you actually got to use the items to see if you liked them. It was 'a try it before you buy it'. Awesome!! We had a salad that was oh so good. It had baby spinach, toasted pecans, cranberries, red apples, red onion, celery, chicken and the dressing was mayo, mustard, salt, pepper, orange zest, and orange juice. I'm so gonna make that very soon!!!

The items I got last night....
This is the salad chopper. I used this to cut the chicken for the salad. I loved it!! :) You can use it to cut up anything you want.
These are the adjustable measuring spoons. I got these b/c I'd been looking to get some news ones and I felt these were just what I wanted.
This is the I-Slice. I got this to clip coupons or other packages that are hard to open. :)

Items I want.... :)

This is the Deep Covered Baker. So awesome. You can make chicken breast in the microwave in 8 min!!! Or a 4lb whole chicken in 30 min in this dish. How cool is that? The chicken we had in our salad was made in this baker dish. Everyone was surprised and shocked at how juicy and moist this chicken came out. You can also bake cakes in this. Like a Lava Molten Chocolate Cake.....Mix your cake mix in a bowl, add batter to your baker, then pour your tub of frosting right on top of the batter. Bake it and then you have your cake with your melted frosting. YUM!
This item is the Cool & Serve Square Tray. It's multi-useful. I want it!! You can use it to transport deviled eggs, cupcakes (yes it fits 24 cupcakes), chips, fruit. Whatever you want to use it for.

The last 2 items was a lot more money that I wanted to spend. I figure I could just host my own little party and I could earn these. :) Hopefully! :) So, these items are on my wish list and maybe after my party in August I will get them. :)

Daisy

My first daisy this year from my daisy bushes in the front flower bed! :)

Dinner last night...

I went to Wegman's the other day and bought a few groceries. Wegman's has chicken breasts packaged with a marinade and it's like vacuumed sealed. It's not easy to open but it's cool b/c it keeps the chicken fresher longer. The chicken breasts that I got were marinated in a Brown sugar bbq sauce. For dinner last night, I made some of the breasts along with some corn and baby dutch yellow potatoes. I love the potato selection at Wegman's. They have a huge isle with every imaginable potato you can find. They even have purple potatoes. I'm so gonna try those one day! :) For the baby dutch potatoes, I cut them up and put them in some boiling water. Once they were done I mashed them, added some ranch dressing, butter and pepper. Yum!! :)

Happy Memorial Day

Happy Memorial Day!! A big THANK YOU to our MILITARY who have sacrificed their lives for our FREEDOM. GOD BLESS!

A good read....

I heard about this book and became curious. I wanted to know what Osama's first wife and his son went through. I learned a lot by reading this book. And I think Jean Sasson says it just right to those who might oppose this book...... "As a person of enormous curiosity, my life experiences have taught me that discord often erupts from a lack of knowledge and education. To discourage future dark moments, I believe we must nourish the minds of our young with learning that creates understanding between ethnic and religious groups".

One of the most shocking parts I read was about all the Poppy plants in Afghanistan "His goal was to send as many hard drugs to the United States as possible so that America's money would flow to Afghanistan while America's youth will be ruined by becoming addicted to the drug heroin".

I'm glad to be an American!!! I just couldn't imagine growing up in that sort of culture.

Army Wives

Now that LOST has ended I needed another TV show to occupy my free time. haha I had thought about Army Wives. I wanted to watch it years ago but never got into it. Last weekend, our friend, Eddie talked about it. His wife, Crystal had mentioned to me before how good it was. I couldn't wait any longer. I didn't really want to buy the DVD's not knowing if I would like it. I couldn't find anyone that owned the 1st season so I searched on craigslist and found someone who had season 1 for $10. I picked up the DVD's yesterday after Kristen's yard sale. :) Kristen and I watched the first disc! OMG!! We were both hooked after the 1st episode. :)
