My BFF and I made some homemade tomato sauce with a bunch of tomatoes I had just sitting on my counter. All of them were from my CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) box.
The tomatoes I had didn’t make much sauce because I didn’t have that many tomatoes to make a huge batch. This is the recipe we used for the sauce. We ended up having to add a can of organic tomato sauce.
For dinner the next night, I boiled some bow tie pasta, and cooked up some sausage. I added some freshly grated Mozzarella cheese and garnished with some fresh basil from my garden. It was delicious and I knew exactly what was in it.
