If you enjoyed the post on the White Chicken Chili Seasoning my BFF and I made then you will like this one too. For years my BFF and I have been making and using our own taco seasoning. Have you ever looked at the back of those store bought packages and looked at the list of ingredients. Can you even pronounce all of those words? Also seeing how much sodium is in those tiny little packets is just shocking and gross. No thanks! We don’t remember where we got the exact recipe from. I’m sure it was on Pinterest somewhere.
You can save money by making this in bulk. The best part about this is that you know exactly what’s in it.
Here is the recipe in bulk. This will make 64 ounces. So have some ball jars ready.
2 cups chili powder
1.5 cups paprika
1.5 cups cumin
1/2 + 1/3 cup onion powder
8 tsp. garlic powder
8 tsp. red pepper flakes
1/3 cup oregano
4 tsp. black pepper
To your one pound of meat just add 2 – 3 tbsp of the homemade seasoning mix + 1/2 cup water. Let simmer.
Enjoy!
